driver irql not less or equal error
This is the first time posting to a message board so I'm not sure if I am in the right place.
A friend of mine asked me to fix a problem he was encountering
The blue screen of death popped up with:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
STOP: 0X000000D1(0X00000028,0X00000002,0X00000000,0XF755BC35)
CDR4_XP.SYS ADDRESS F755BC35 BASE AT F754F000, DATESTAMP 3C64D5AD
THIS ERROR OCCURS WHEN INSERTING A CD INTO THE CD WRITER DRIVE.
I have tried updating the BIOS but error still occuring and have searched all over the web trying to find out what to attempt next.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the quick reply, however the computer doesn't have Roxio on it
Hi
Do a system search in Start>Run>type: %windir%/system32/drivers and look for CDR4_XP.SYS
Move it elsewhere and move the one downloaded from the above link into its directory position.
Restart the computer keeping the original one safe elsewhere and see how that goes.
