driver help

I am trying to run a cd from my computer and for some reason it will not run. It does not even acknowledge that there is a CD in the drive. Please help me to figure out this problem. I know that the drive works because I just reinstalled windows onto my computer. I thought that this was the reason that my cd drive was not working but I was wrong.

the driver is part of windows
remove the upper and lower filters
