I have a Hitachi Enterprise 4TB drive in a security NVR recording 24/7. It makes an annoying constant thumping sound when the heads move.
Is there a model series of hard drives, 4TB, that are virtually silent?
Thanks!

Hello,

I know that it is frustrating to listen to thumping noise, especially when you are working. This issue is solely due to the hard drive header, and the best solution for you would be to opt for solid state drive storage. It should not only help you eliminate the noise, but is also a safe and secure storage solution.

Glad to share my thoughts!

SSD not the only solution but the most obvious. I got a WD Blue drive, its very very quiet. I can hear no noise at all....like a SSD.
