What are they doing? Floppy drives you can find cleaners for and most computer shops, cdroms you can try using lens cleaner.
Drive Repairs
I have 3 floppies, 1 CD rom and 1 CDRW that don't work. Does anyone know where I can get info on troubleshooting and repairing these drives?
Does anyone know what typically goes wrong with each of them?

The CD Rom does not power up. I checked the wiring & it appears to be ok.
Could bad firmware cause this? Can I flash the firmware w/o the drive powering up?
The floppies light up but don't work. The post screen says they are bad.
