A freinds computers motherboard developed a fault and I returned it
for a replacement. So he could still work on his files I transfered
his hard drive to a spare computer I have and set it up as a slave.
This worked well untill the time came to put the hard drive back into
his computer with the new motherboard.

Windows will not load now and when I map the drives in command console
3 partitions (o,1 and 2)come up with no drive letter just the size of
each partition how can I assign these partitions a drive letter
without wiping the disk?

Can any one please help. Thanks.

Andy.

Thanks for replying,

Yes the drive is now set as a master and is hooked up to the blue ribbon connector.

The opperating system will not load as the boot sector cannot find a drive letter (should be C:) containing an OS.
