The downloading is very slow on my computer and when I play a clip or something from the internet lets say for example from you tube, only a few seconds plays and then it freezes before it plays. This goes on and on. Please advise

I had actually gotten help with the virus, adware and spyware and stuff from this site and that part is ok. So I guess the other two could be responsible. I don't know how to check the internet connection but how about memory issues? Could you help me with that?

Well first thing I would ask you is what kind of connection are you using? DSL Cable Satelite etc etc. 200 download and 200 upload isnt the greatest As for memory do you know how much memory you have installed on the machine? I would recommend a 512 minimum for xp ( I currently run 1 gig) on a similar machine but my internet connection is 6 meg down and 1.5 up which I roughly get 80 percent of half the time :p Also what speeds of internet are you paying for?

I am using broadband in India. The memory is 512 which is the maximam that this computer can hold. It used to be half of it but I had it doubled.

Try this

Go to Start>run
Type Msconfig

On the general tab put a dot in the third circle
Take the checkmark out of the startup choice
Click ok
then close
Reboot machine
Check video performance and report back

Sounds to me that it is an internet connection problem. Meaning that while it is downloading it cant download fast enough to keep up with the movie. Thus causing it once it is put into temporary files it can play the second time without a hitch because its already downloaded. I would try a faster internet connection which would more then likely cost more money unless you can have Your internet service provider bump you up so you can test the theory.

Thanks!!
