I am having a problem where when i try to download an .exe file from the net, it brings up quicktime. It there a way to change my settings so that my computer doesent associate .exe files with quicktime?
I can open .exe files allready installed on my computer.
Thanks so much for your help.

I checked the association tag, and for the exe files and it says:

extension: EXE
Content type(mime):application/x-ms download
opens with: executable

Sounds right to me... But im no guru
Is that correct?
Thanks

I think the problem is that EXE appears in the list at all. EXE or COM don't appear in my associations for W2K, and I wouldn't expect them to. I don't want them associated with a specific application, which is what the file associations are for. I'd delete the definition of EXE there... :)
