The Keyboard doesn't work in DOS mode?!?!? You should at least have keyboard. To use mouse in DOS you might have to get some special DOS drivers and such. I haven't done this in a LONG time.

From what I remember of XP "hoopla" it has some settings which let you emulate an old machine, including a DOS machine.
