My Grandson gave me his old HP Pavilion dv7 .115us notebook running Vista Home Prem 64 bit. it is password
protected and no one can remember what it is. I have tried to go into Bios (F10) no go I get a message "Enter Power On Password" Don't have a password. Is there a word around this?

The laptop Bios is Password Protected. This cannot be fixed if you don't know the password. You may still be able to login to Windows without having to access the Bios, if you know the Windows Password.
Considering the age of the laptop and the fact that Vista has not been supported by Microsoft for several years, it is not even worth wasting time on this.
