It may not be listed the same if the drivers are updated. Run the speaker test...are you getting sound to each speaker? If so, then it's working.
Dolby Digital Suddenly Stopped Working
As the subject says:
First off, I have a gigabyte motherboard with onboard direct channel and optical (I use optical/SPDIF) and Logitech X-540 speakers
When I got the speakers - they installed flawlessly, the realtek control panel immediately picked up that it was "Dolby Digital Surround"
Not 2/4/6/8 Channel Speakers
I rebooted many times, etc still no dice so I finally reinstalled the drivers.
The sound works now, but not with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround - I dont even have the option in RealTek anymore, it flat out doesnt exist.
I'm running on XP 64 bit
