Hello, I have recently brought a laptop for my self and really don't have that much of knowledge GPUs and PCI-E. I am moderate gamer. When i brought this laptop i did not know that integrated GPUs are useless. I am stuck with this laptop. I would like to know is there any way my laptop's GPU can be upgraded?

system info is attached to this threat. Please read it because i am thinking of:

If i removed card reader? would i be able to upgrade?
If i remove the network card? would i be able to upgrade?
I think Intel GMA965 uses PCI-E as it is listed in the attachment file, Can unplug it and put ATI or Nvidia?

Please have look at the attachment file because i dont that much knowledge, if there any chance please tell me. I will be very thankful to you. Please

95% of laptops do not have removeable or upgradeable gpu's , post the make and model of the laptop and we will see if it does. Laptops are designed more to be a portable computer then a video game machine, and usually the laptops that are infact designed to play games are expensive and quickly outmoded.

Thank you very much for replying Emosun. I am very grateful to you. I understand that laptops are not made for gaming purposes but as i told you that i made a mistake and i deeply regret that.

As for GPU upgrade, I have found that if my GPU which is Intel GMA965 (x3100) uses PCI-e that MXM then i can upgrade the GPU. When I contacted Dell which laptops manufacturer they did not told me if Intel GMA965 uses PCI-e (MXM). I did research for about 2 weeks over google. When i looked at information i got some people claim that it uses PCI-e (MXM) some say it is the GPU connected motherboard and it can not be upgraded, However, if my laptop have spare PCI-e than I will be able to add new GPU to current system.

I have attached my laptops information to this email which also contains specific details of Manufacturer, Model number, Serial number etc..

For your convince, i have highlighted information about laptop manufacturer and model in Yellow colour.

Please also check the information highlighted in Red colour because it is about PCI-e it may help.

Once again i want thank you for replying to me.

Best regards,
Shakur

I looked through the page and found your useing an inspiron 1525. The dell inspiron 1525 does not have a dedicated graphics card option. The reason why is because dell at the time was pushing there XPS M1530 as there gaming laptop. You can read the article here under the performance and benchmarks paragraph.

Performance and Benchmarks

One thing to notice is that the dedicated graphics card option available on the Inspiron 1520 is missing from the Inspiron 1525. The reasoning behind this is that Dell is pushing the XPS M1530 as the 15.4" notebook for those demanding higher-end graphics performance. The Inspiron 1525 is meant for a more mainstream buyer looking for good multimedia and productivity features from a notebook, and not cutting edge 3D performance.

Regardless, I would have liked for Dell to offer at least an entry-level nVidia 8400 GS 128MB dedicated graphics card option on the 1525. Sure, it might compete with a base configuration XPS M1530, but consumers like to have choices.

That being said, the Inspiron 1525 performed quite well during testing and this machine will meet or exceed the performance needs of most average (non-gaming) users.
