Do SSDs get slower in write speed as you fill them or does it happen with read speed also?

I’m wondering due to the fact that I got a ps5 for Christmas and honestly the amount of space was underwhelming. I Expected a terabyte but it’s 667 GB. I have a lot of big games and I’m afraid if I fill it up too much the read speed will also decrease.

Read should be fine but Write does slow down.

Isn't that the truth? Even the older 2.5" SATA SSDs breath new life into a system running an old slow spinner. (y)

I've gone almost totally SSD for my systems. My main system has three SSD drives for a total of 3.5TB, my backup system has a 500GB SSD for the boot drive, and my laptop has an SSD. I also have a couple of USB3 SSD external drives for backup and travel.

I love the fact that the speeds are multiples of the speed of my old hard disks. :) My drives are not necessarily the fastest SSD drives available, but the difference from the old spinning disks is significant. I also don't ever have to wait for a hard disk to spin up when I access it like I used to for my archives. :)
