divx won't uninstall

Could you tell us exactly what the problem is? Like do you get any errors when trying to uninstall?

Since you were so economical in your statement we don't have a lot to go on. If uninstalling from the All Programs list, or from Add Remove Programs, then uninstall using Revo Uninstaller If you can give us a little more information, like what happens when you uninstall? are there any messages? etc we can help you further.

there are so many different divx utilities and browser addons out there you really need to be specific. If it is an add on, go to the browsers addons and uninstall from there. You already been told about the other ways.

Sorry for the delay (have been out of town) and for not giving enough info, when I went to add/remove programs and clicked on uninstall divx setup it would do nothing so I tried the revo uninstaller and it worked great.

Well I was wrong the revo uninstaller removed it from the add/remove only. It still asking me to update at start up.

must be something in the start up folder that revo didn't get?

Looked in there nothing.

What version of divx is installed? is it the player? the codec pack pack?

Click Start => RUn in the run box copy and paste the following code:

Press Enter. A black DOS screen will appear it may take a minute or so then you will get a text document pop up copy and post the results back tot his thread.
