Distorted Images

Hello

Today I noticed that when I open an image in a browser (tried both Firefox and IE as you will see), the picture can come out distorted and parts will appear to have loaded in the wrong place.

These are screenshots of WoW images that are hosted on various sites and as you can see, there are 'lines' within the image that do not fit their position. Since this has happened in 2 different browsers, I assume the problem is related to my monitor or even my gpu. Both my monitor and card are under 2 months old, however, so it may be a software issue.

This does not happen every time I view a picture, but is more likely to occur after opening 5 or 6. I have found that clearing the browser's cache/history and refreshing the image can fix this but the problem returns very soon after.

I'd really like to try and find the cause but I have no idea where to start. If anyone could assist me in attempting to fix this it would be great.

Thanks.

P.s. if this is the wrong forum, please could a moderator move it as necessary.
