Display Problem..

I have a weird problem.

I have my desktop set to black. Its fine for a few minutes,
but if the screen saver kicks in, or anything that causes the screen to change, ie, a game or something, the color fades from black to a very dark greenish grey. If I change resolutions, it corrects it's self, or if I open a window, such as my computer, or display properties, or even raise the taskbar from autohide, it corrects the display. Any ideas? this is a bran new system, on a fresh install of Win XP Pro.
