Hi guys I am new here. Been having problem with my computer over the past week, so I thought I'll ask around for help to identify the problem
During boot, my display started getting all sorts of funny lines
The computer would then hang as it is about to load the OS
However, I can boot fine using safe mode though
Disabling the graphics card and booting allows me to enter the OS under normal boot, but the weird lines remain though

I tested the monitor using my laptop and it worked fine. So it isn't the monitor's problem. Since I also disabled the video card, could it still be a graphics card problem

Windows Vista Premium SP1
Asus P5B E Plus MB
Asus EN 8800 GTS 320 mb (Driver Version 178.24)
300 GB(primary) + 80 GB harddisks
LG Super-Multi DVD Rewriter
