Display dirver crash
I'm getting an inconsistant problem with my laptop.
At random intervals, the computer will either bulescreen, display a flat color (eg. bright red, or green), or the display will stop responding entirely.
i have no idea what's going on, or why this is happening, as it occurs most often when i'm just using firefox or msn.
Laptop is an Alienware M17x-R2
running win7
intel core i7 x940
Nvidia GeForce GTX 285M
any help would be appriciated

I'm already running the latest drivers from Nvidia's website.

Actually the problem may be the fact that you updated your drivers from NVIDIA's website.
For Prebuilt systems and laptops, you should only update the drivers from the manufacturer website(that would be Dell in your case)
Was the problem happening before you updated the drivers?

no, it's only been happening in the past month or so.
and since i updated the drivers.
so i'll try that, if the problem persists i'll come back
