i just bought a sound blaster live 5.1 sound card. how do i get rid of the onboard sound that im using?

when booting your computer hit delete or F2 or whatever key needed to enter the BIOS setup. Once in the BIOS, select the options where you can pick the audio controllers, and you will have to select your new card there. Then save the changes and start windows and see if that works
