Disappearing computers in My Network Places

4490 Views 5 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  ComputerNoHow
Hi, I have a wireless network connection and when I go to My Network Places, I am able to see all my computers and such running on the network, but only for a split second, I can catch their names real click but before I have a chance to do anything, they disappear and I can't for the life of me figure it out. Why is this, has someone locked me out of my network or is there something special I need to do? I have no clue... Thanks either way.

For each computer, please do this.

Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt:

Type the following two commands:

nbtstat -n

ipconfig /all

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

There is nothing there that will compromise their privacy. If you can't get the information, it limits the help I can provide.
