Hi as u can see in title i need to make a simulation of network that use csma/cd mechanism and then disable it to see the difference. I used riverbed modeler and i easily can make a bus topology network with for example 30 hosts, I see the packets flow in the network and can count every collision there is. Problem I have is that i don't know how to disable this mechanism to show how it will affect the traffic in a network. Any help would be nice to see if u know it's possible to simulate in different program that would also be really helpfull.

Well thats obvious. The problem I want to simulate is half duplex transmition that have disabled csma/cd mechanism. It is clearly a teoretical simulation to see how this will work. So yea if anybody have something that can help even just a little advice would be nice.

LOL ah man! too funny, you just can't help some people can you.

At any rate Mitchconner has answered the question for you. If you duplex mismatch the network interfaces you will enable collisions, and if you duplex match you will disable collisions (effectively) there is no way to disable the mechanism on the card or hardware in the manner you see to suggest... perhaps the modelling software your using can, maybe you could try the manual, or even the help menu.
