Hello. Some days ago i tried to downgrade my DirectX... I used programs, but they don't helped me, then i deleted DirectX folder (run>regedit>local machine>software>microsoft). After that i can't install any directx :(. Here is my DXError log:
--------------------
[05/27/09 17:47:08] module: dxupdate(Mar 5 2008), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 189, function: GetDXVersion

Failed API: RegQueryValueEx()
Error: (2) - Не удается найти указанный файл.

Current DirectX may be a older version which does not have the version value in the registry.

Try installing from a standalone package like this:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...FamilyID=0cf368e5-5ce1-4032-a207-c693d210f616

If that doesn't work, try going back some restore points. Start, (All) Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore

If that still fails, I don't know what to recommend besides a repair install. DirectX is so tightly integrated with Windows it's 1. near impossible to remove it without breaking functionality somewhere, 2. nearly impossible to toggle versions (for instance when you install a new version you can't go back later).
