Hi. hello, and thank you for reading my thread! i'm chong, and i have a very unique problem. well, you see, i tripped over the S-Video cable from my PC to my TV and the video stopped displaying. I tried to use a normal monitor, and it would display for the first 30 secs or so, then when the login screen comes up, nothing. I can safely enter my password and i hear the windows login, however, no video on either screen.

symptoms:
no video display on tv
video display cuts out on known working monitor
still able to login and hear windows chime
ends on s-video cable bent, but doesn't explain why monitor doesn't work

In the event that I need a new video card, and I truly do. Mine's an old archaic 128 mb ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, and it's been the bottleneck of my system thus far. I play online competitively and I've gotten to the point where I really do need more fps. I play a game where the better you get the faster the framerate because you can literally fly through towns, however, on your side, it appears like you're dictating in court; your fingers move extremely fast. I play online on Gunz, and K-style is my religion.

thats what i was afraid of. If TV was primary when the cable came out, it will be primary until you tell windows otherwise.
