I do not currently have a Diablo II expansion cd, so I downloaded the playable one that you do not need a cd. When they asked for my CD-Key, it says it needs to be 24 characters long and mine from the original CD Case is only 16 characters. What needs to be done for this so I can play expansion again?

Please post a link to the site you downloaded the expansion from.

Sounds like he got it from Blizzard, the new keys are longer. Without entering the original key you can't get the new longer key.
