I've had this problem for some time now, and i have no idea how i'm supposed to solve it.
I have an iPod Nano and my computer was picking it up perfectly. I tried to connect it one day and it kept telling me that the device was not being recognised.
So i went on to Device manager and all that... And it has come up with 'Device cannot start (Code 10)'.
I've tried updating the driver but this was not successful.
I'm not overly good with computers so i'm confused as to what i can do to fix this...
I've noticed that i'm getting the same problem with another MP3 and my memory stick. Neither of them are being recognised.
Help would be appreciated.

code 10 is the driver is not loaded

in the device manager click on view at the top and in the dropdown
show hidden devices
then uninstall all listed usb items
turn the computer off
unplug usb plugs
reboot twice
replug in the usb plugs
