I've recently borrowed Deus Ex: Invisible War from a friend. The recommended system requirements are as follows:

Pentium IV, 1.5 Ghz (or AMD Athlon XPequivalent) or greater processor
512 MB System RAM
100% DirectX 9 128MB 3D Graphics Card
2GB of Hard Drive Space
My system specs just about outrank that, here're mine:

Windows XP SP2
Intel Pentium 4, 2.8GHz
1GB Physical Memory (700MB of Virtual Memory)
128mb NVidia Geforce FX 5200
Anyone suggest the answer? I've dropped the Shadow and Lighting detail to Low and it still lags VERY baddly, my frame rate must be about 10, if that.

It's the graphics card letting you down. I'm afraid the only solution is to get a better one. I had an fx5200 and Invisible War was all but unplayable. It's not actually that the hardware is rubbish - it's that the game is awfully coded and uses tonnes of graphics resources when it doesn't need to. Even on my radeon 9800 pro now it will use everything my card has and try to slow the system down.

Haven't played it for ages. Not as good as the original.

Hope this helps.
