hey im new to this im building a 81 c10 that came with a 305.i have now swapped for a 350.it came with a quadra jet carb ive now swapped for a eddlebrock,the problem is the tranny kick down cable is now too short to work on this linkage tried different brackets but no luck,linkage seems to throw farther than the cable by far.

Is there a hole closer the throttle shaft you could mount the cable in(is it a ball or a plastic snap lock end?
