Desktop delete

thanks but I tried that and in a blink of an eye they all came back, however, I realised that they were all copies, so I deleted the originals first then the copies, now they are gone. but I still would love to know why it happened and why I had to go to such extreme measures to delete the copies. any ideas?

Try using the select all > copy

then click on the drive and directory you want and use the past command dont drag them around.

finaly go back to where the orig. files were and select all > file > delete.

When I do it that way it moves them to the desktop and they are removed from the original folder.

Try highlighting them then go to edit click copy then go to the desktop and right click then paste...;)
