I have a Dell studio 1555 operating on windows 7. One day my cd drive just stopped working and the drive just won"t take the cd in. When I push the eject button, it makes a sound, so clearly that is still working, but the drive won't pull the CD in. My warrenty is up so sending it back in is not an option.
Please Help!!!!!

It is an option, only you will be charged to have it fixed.

Does the drive stay in if you manually push it?

If the drive is defective then you would just need to get a replacement drive and install it.
