Can any of you tell me if I have to use Dell printer cartridges in my Printer? I have heard that you can use some re-manufactured ones, but want to be sure before I buy any and find that they ruin my printer. Thanks:wave:

No, you don't have to use Dell carts, however personally I've found remanufactured/3rd party compatible carts to be inconsistant in quality and not worth the risk of clogging the printheads or malfunction, nor do may of them last as long as oem carts. I doubt you'll ruin the printer with them, but I'd make sure to get them from a reputable site or supplier.

I'm suddenly reminded of a trip I took to Wally World a few years back where a "knowledgable" sales associate was explaining the virtues to an ink refill kit. He forgot, however, to mention how it's an instant void of any and all warranties on the printer.

The big printer companies like Canon, Epson, Dell, and Hewlett-Packard, offer their own complete lines of inks and papers. And it’s no surprise each manufacturer claims that you'll get the best results when you use their paper and ink. They even claim third party products will void your warranty. This is not true!
you can use any cartridge available in the market.
But make sure to buy a cartridge which lasts long and prints more number of pages.
