Dell monitor auto adjusting
I have a Dell E171FPb monitor and whenever I turn on my computer, it auto adjusts every 5-30 seconds. I cannot get into the monitor's menu because the buttons stopped working all of a sudden. I already know it is not a videocard problem.:4-dontkno

Sounds like monitor circuitry is failing, as the auto adjust (as well as the monitor buttons) are controlled by the monitor itself. Try removing power for a bit, aside from that, replacement is likely cheaper than repair unless it is under warranty.
