My curser moves around or disappears while typing.

Could you please provide us with the following:

1. Model Number of your laptop.
2. What program are you trying to type in? (ex. Microsoft Word)

That commonly happens because the user does not realize the heel of his or her hand is coming too close to the touchpad while typing so watch while you type and you will most likely see the cause.
