Hi guys,

About 2 weeks ago, I spilt a glass of coke on my laptop. I took it apart, cleaned it up, let it dry etc....and it wont turn on at all.
Accepted that its hopeless, it doesnt even register there is power going to it, but there are documents on there that I urgently need for work.
I was told that you can put the hdd into another computer, but I took apart an acer laptop and its completely different.
I cant afford to take it somewhere to get the documents off, so is there anything I can do??
Please help!

:sigh:

Thanks

not sure what you meant about the Acer, but: you could try getting an external caddy for the drive, and attaching by usb to another computer. Now, you will need to know whether your drive is 2.5" or 3.5" - usually laptop drives are 2.5". Also, find out whether it is IDE or SATA as you will need the same type of caddy. HTH
