Hi did you use the dell download utility if so try downloading using just a straight download ie click on the driver to download via internet explorer
Dell inspiron 6000 re installed win xp sp3
I used my service tag and got the reccomended files from the dells site..but when I load em on a flash drive..and put them on the laptop..it does not recognize how to open them..what can I do? I have no way to connect the laptop to the net without the files.so I have to use my flash drive to transfer the files from my desktop to the laptop..but..I cannot figure out how to get the laptop to recognize them..the laptop has a fresh good copy of windows xp sp3 on it..
