About a week ago my keyboard started acting up. So I ordered a new one and replaced it. This did not solve the problem. The touchpad will work but the keyboard is still messed up. If I plug in a keyboard to the usb it will work fine. Also when I boot up the volume controls start acting up and will make a loud beep until I hit the mute button. If I don't hit the mute button then it will go straight into setup. Any ideas?

i think when you replaced it, the plug didn't sit right. if this is a new keyboard, it should work. you can re-seat the keyboard plug before putting it together and test it.
i had the same thing happen to me. when i put a new keyboard, 5 or 6 keys didn't work. so, i re-seated the plug and it worked fine.

I reset it 4 times and it still did not work. do you know of anything else I can try or anything else it might be?

is this a new keyboard?
do any of the keys work at all?

yeah it is a new keyboard and no none of them at all. The video player controls on the front don't work either except the play button.

it sounds like a bad motherboard. if the keyboard is new, then the problem is on the motherboard. specially, making the noise and going into setup.
