Hello! This is my first post on this forum, I asked around on some other forums, but no answers. I have an old Inspiron 530 with these specs.
Q6600 <---- Haha, love this old one
4 GB RAM
500 hdd
350 w PSU
Nvidia 8000 gs something or rather like that.

My friend has no computer, so I am wanting to give this to him, and put a real mans gpu in it. I am wondering if it will work with a 660ti which I have, and just replace the psu, and if so, which one. We live in Canada so trying not to go for a too expensive PSU. Thanks!

I found an evga 500b one for around 40 Cad. Will that work? And how much will the q6600 bottleneck the 660ti, if it's a ton, I have an old PC (Dell optiplex 960) with a q9400, but not sure if that works with the 660ti, or if it can fit a new PSU.
