Hey guys...I recently had a problem...

Im typing on my dell 5000, and my keyboard just stops functioning....reboot it, its still doesnt work...do kayboards just stop working like that when they break? is there some XP setting or some kind of key combination I might have pressed??

Thanks!

(capslock, numlock, and scroll lock dont light when buttons are pressed...ctrl+alt+del doesnt work.)

it sounds like your keyboard has stopped working...

is it a USB keyboard? If so you may need to just unplug it-and replug it. Otherwise, you may consider going to your local walmart, or bestbuy (or newegg) and getting a new one...

my dell 5000 is a laptop
oh...hmm that is something you need to mention in the first post. I've never gotten to play with laptops, but it sounds like your keyboard is dead.

Look in your "control panel > system > hardware (tab) > device manager" and see if you have the keyboard installed in there.
