I recently wrote my computer to zeros and reinstalled everything and now my wireless internet doesnt work it doesnt even have the option to connect that way only by ethernet cabe any help please ive tried fn+f2

have you installed the driver for the wireless card? install the chipset driver first.

EDIT: you can use the driver and utility disk that came with the computer usually blue in color.

it told me I already had a better verison then I did the chipset and I downloaded the wireless like you said and still nothing

do you have any yellow or red marks in device manager?

ok how do I get to device manager

start right click my computer then properties then hardware tab then device manager.

there is a yellow question mark next to video controller but I dont know what that is vga is what it says

that would be your display driver. go back and device manager and under view show hidden devices. now expand the network section and take a screen shot of device manager and post it here. if you do not know how to take and post a screen shot can follow direction in the link in my signature on how to post a screen shot.

do another with network adapter expanded. aslo is the wireless turned on? could be FN and a F key might be F2. also check bios to make sure it is enabled. to do that turn on computer start tapping f2 then check in their for wireless.

no my wireless light isnt on and yes it is on in the bios I have no show of it in my networks connections either

while we wait on the wireless issue lets take care of the yellow next to video controller. goto dell site and download and install the video driver.
