I have a Dell Vostro 1510 Windows XP. Unfortunately, it was doused with Dr. Pepper. :upset: I have taken it apart and cleaned it; I also had a repair shop clean it out. Now, it will boot all the way into a user, and then, when loading, will freeze. However, it will boot in safe mode and run every program I can open in safe mode. Therefore, I assume some program in the regular boot system is bad, and that it's freezing when it reaches whatever that is.

Also, the battery will not charge at all; it has to run on the power cord.
Two questions: can it be saved, and if so, how? And, what is the most likely cause of the battery problem, something with the mother board (bad) or a shorted battery (bad but deal-withable)?

Thanks!!
