Hey guys:

I had a problem with my Dell 5150. It fell off the desk, the monitor crashed so i had to get a replacement for it which i did, i just got the new monitor.
Last night, we were trying to plug it, we plugged it, but when we turned the laptop on, we noticed that the monitor was still all in black.
We booted the laptop, and we used my desktop`s monitor, we thought that maybe the replacement wasn`t a plug-and-play monitor, but we weren`t able to find anything. After a couple of minutes we noticed some bare visible things on the laptop monitor, like if the resolution and brightness was totally down, we tried to increase the bright and didn`t work as well.
Like i said, the replacement is brandnew, we double checked that the wires, screws and everything was properly placed and yet we don`t know what to do.
Any suggestions? any ideas? could it be a driver?
thx for helping us
