How does one delete info from old CPU's that will be sent to the recycle facility in my area? Is there a disk that can be inserted without hooking up the CPU to a monitor and just plugging the CPU into the wall?

By chance do you mean the Hard drive instead of CPU?

Dban will totally wipe your hard drive. http://www.dban.org/about
However you will need to boot from the Dban CD, and select a few of its options.
