Hello there. I tryed to preinstall windows XP, but not eject the external hard drive. When it ask me to delete the partitions i deleted everything, including the external.
And deleted all information on it.
After that i create new partition - the ext. hard drive, because the windows isnt recognize the drive.
Now it wants to formatting it, to start the hard drive.
My question is how to find my information? And if i formatted it all the info will dissapeard, will not?

You should have removed the external drive before attempting to install Windows, and there was no need to delete the partition on the external drive anyway as Windows XP setup was referring only to the drive you wanted to install XP on.

Windows is now asking you to format the partition on the external drive because a partition cannot be used until it is formatted. Do not format it just yet as you may be able to recover the partition you deleted on it and rescue your data. Recovering a deleted partition requires third-party software, and the only one I can recommend (because it's the only one that worked for me) is [email protected] Partition Recovery:
[email protected] Partition Recovery. Recover Deleted Partition. Undelete NTFS & FAT partitions.

In future you should save your data on at least two external drives so you always have a backup of it. Your external hard drive might fail, and if it does your data could be impossible to recover by any software method.
