I have seen references in this thread to "astart.exe." I must admit I am quite a novice here (again.) I just updated my virus definitions and found a virus in astart.exe in my Win 98 c:\windows\system directory. I deleted the infected file but I have no idea what it does -- or did. Does anyone know how I can get another copy of this file to ensure that my system works properly? Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this but I don't know what to do. If anyone could email me or even attach a copy of the file if it is Win 98 compatible I would be greatly thankful. My email is [email protected] . Thank you very much!

PS sorry if this comes up twice...

astart.exe restores manually changed settings for ASUS based video cards such as overclocking. Its only required if you use non-standard settings ^_^

Unless you have an ASUS video card, it shouldn't affect you in any way.
