A Win 2000 Pro PC on our NT network does not remember its default login. It should remember the last person who logged in and offer this as the default next time you log in, but it keeps coming up with Administrator. OK, so you just type in your name and password and everything works fine, but it is a bit annoying.

Can anyone suggest how to correct it?

Thanks.

I have had a look at X_setup and it certainly has some functionality which I will investigate further. However, I think it might be a bit overkill for this particular problem.

I have gone into the registry and in HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon there is DefaultDomainName and DefaultUserName which I have changed to the correct user and when you boot up, these details are shown.

However, the system still tries to automatically login the administrator BEFORE you get a chance to use the normal login box. Presumably there is an auto-login registry entry which I need to find and modify.
