You've got a picture on your external monitor which would indicate your graphics chip is ok. The LCD screen is fully lit so you know your inverter is ok.

I would try powering on the laptop and going into the BIOS setup screen (usually by tapping F2 or Delete) and see if the screen looks any different. You could also try booting into VGA Mode - when starting up, tap the F8 key once per second.

Lastly, you could try removing the video cable from the motherboard and rear of the LCD panel and re-seating them to make sure you don't have a bad connection. If none of that works, I'd replace the panel.

Tried everything you mentioned. everything inside looks OK, I think it was dropped at some point and most of the shock was taken by the LCD. Im gonna order the LCD. Thanks

Since you checked everything and looks to be in order, then I would agree that its the LCD itself. Especially since u mentioned it was dropped. What could have happened is that the liquid (LCD=Liquid Crystal Display) has spilled out and thereby you getting the lines you speak of. Good luck.
