I am having the same problem with my Radeon 7000 (don't laugh, it's all I could afford). Whenever I'm playing Combat Flight Simulator 3, it'll play for like 12 minutes and then it will exit to the desktop, the screen resolution will screw up and I'll ge the same message as you are getting. Also, flight simulator 2002 has stopped working at all. I am also curious as to how to fix this when one has the latest drivers.
