i've been getting cyric redundancy check errors on my 2nd hard drive that i use for downloading and storage. its a western digital model number: WD150AA. sometimes after saying that message when downloading or transferring, i get a this refers to a location that is unavalible when trying to access the drive and have to end up restarting my computer. i purchased spinright which is supposed to repair my hard drive and it says that everything is fine on my file system drive but it only makes it to 31% and it says, sectors defective region located,

than it goes back to the graphics display screen

and the byte it was on keeps blinking like normal but it doesn't go anywhere. i can move through any screen on the program but when i press escape and select suspend drive and exit on the menu that pops up,

it doesn't do anything, just goes back to the scanning screen, i've let it sit there all night and it didn't do anything. i had to hold the button till it cut off. what should i do to fix my hard drive? here are some screenshots of the program or you can go here

First of all, the thing you need to do with a WD drive is use their free download called "Data Lifeguard" to test the integrity of the drive. Many times, the manufacturer's utility that is free does a better job than all the commercial products that are available. Give that a try and see what it says about your drive.
