Well I recently bought this webcam.... Creative Live! Cam Chat. The problem is that as soon as I try to have a video call (or even open the video panel, like in the options of Skype and windows live messenger), an error appears saying that certain V03000.dll file cannot be loaded. The panel behind starts showing video but just then the computer automatically restarts.
I Have the latest drivers installed.
Btw, recently my graphic card got damaged.
My computer is running on vga drivers (without a graphic card), is this responsible for the restarts? (The WebCam manual does not mention graphic card under requirements)
I entered my device manager. There, an exclamation mark is present besides VGA controller (since I donot have a graphic card installed) and an exclamation mark next to PCI simple communication controller (no idea why). In system devices an exclamation mark appears besides Intel Management Engine Interface, and upon when I go to its properties, it says ' device cannot start code 10 '. I have even updated the driver for this from Intel's site but the exclamation mark is still there.
My motherboard is Intel DG965RY.
Btw, I read somewhere that I should try changing USB port to which I am connecting the webcam. I tried in all of the 6 but the problem still remains.
Any help would be much appreciated. Please reply quickly for I have an interview for Cambridge Univ over skype on Friday.
Thanks.
P.S. I checked the webcam on the shopkeeper's computer. It ran fine on his system.
