Will some one please advise me how to create a restore point. I use win xp pro.with service pack2.In case I create such restore point manually, I understand this could not be deleted or altered later even it cannot be renamed.It it necessary and safe to create such restore point.

 

[Resolution]

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. It's pretty self-explanatory.

Restore points can be deleted (mainly to save space), and you are also allowed to undo a restore if you would prefer your system the way it was previously.
