If this problem occured right after the installation of sp2, then perhaps you should uninstall it via add/remove programs in control panel. Then, update and run your anti-virus and anti-spyware programs. Remove any and all virii and spyware, then attempt the sp2 install again.
Crash every time you double click desktop icon.
I have just installed SP2 for windows XP pro.,
Now if I double click on any icon on the desktop the system locks.
Can access programs and move files withing windows explorer... as long as I don't access anything from the desktop.
Does anyone know how to repair this??
