CPU won't run at the correct FSB speed

I just bought an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ for my older PC (Biostar M7NCD Pro MB). The problem I'm having is I have to set the FSB speed to 133 otherwise the computer crashes. This processor I believe is suppose to run at 166 FSB speed. The memory is 1.5GB PC3200 which is suppose to clock down to 322MHz right (166FSB x 2 dual channel mode)? I just can't figure out why I cannot set the FSB to 166 without bluescreens before Windows boot.

have you double checked your cpu model number to make sure it has the higher FSB you expect it to have ?

you can download CPU-Z which will tell you exactly which cpu model you have <<<<< then research that with google

post back after that and we can try other things
